ABOUT THIS CLUB

The Animal Welfare Club is a non profitable organisation aimed to tackle & improve the welfare of our local stray animals. All living things has a life & deserved our compassion, protection & respect. Animal Lovers / feeders should take the measure of Sterilisating their Pets / strays around their estate to maintain the population from mutiplying, thus avoid the destruction way of culling them or food denied causing them to die from hunger. I hope more people will come to join this venture to help more strays be care & protected in your area & more will be given a home or safe shelter where it can get a second chance to live till its end.

WHY I STARTED THIS CLUB

Putting ourselves in the animal's shoes,  how life will be to be on the run without a home & sheltering from rain, sickness & food.......I would die if I am not strong to want to to live ! I started at 12 feeding strays & learning the basic medical aid to treat sick or injured strays animals & 12 years later, I got married, got my own flat & few months after I moved in, I came to know that the burnt electrical box was due to some children locked a cat inside & set fire to burn the cat alive!! The culprit was never caught…That urged made me to started a club so that with the help of members, we could educate people not to rush into adopting a pet, assists new owners with animal care, sterilise strays as much as we could & Hopefully, more people would join me in this expedition.

HOW I STARTED THIS CLUB

I moved into my own flat in 2002, passed by a empty land in Geylang Rd & saw 3 kittens. They were too weak to stand up & crawl forward with front paws to reach the food we got for them. One died after we got home. One grew big & run away. the only one is with me. I realised we need to foster kittens before letting them back to the wild & sterilising is important to stop innocent new litters which a fermale conceived & give birth in 6 weeks.

CURRENT PLANS
