1) Search your Home & Garden Throughly.

    Behind Fridge, Open WashingMachine, 

    Laundry Basket, Drawers, Wardrobes,

    In The Drainpipes, Up The Trees, Rooftops,

    Neighbours' House. Small Or Playful Animals

    Are Likely To Hide Or Stuck In Areas Like :-

    A Hole In A Mattress. Sleeping Top  Of The

    Cars Or Scramble Under Spaces Between

    The Car Engines, Tyres Or Slip Into The Boot.

 

2) Call SPCA At 6287 5355 To Report Your Missing Pet To Keep A Lookout For Anyone

     Bringing A Found Pet In.

 

3) Call AVA At 1800 476 1600 To Report Your Missing Pet As They Can Look For Your

     Pet Amongst The Strays Pick up.

4) Put Up A Online Ad & Report Loss With The Agency If Your Pet Is Microchipped At.

 

5) Call Straits Times At 1800 2899988 To Place An Ad In The LOST Column.                   

 

6) Check The Straits Times ‘FOUND’ Column If Someone Put Up An Ad For The Next

     Few Weeks.

 

7) Put Up Flyers / Notices Near The Vinicity It Was Lost, SPCA, Pet Shops, Vet Clinics

     & Cold Storage Supermarkets. Include Picture, Name, Breed, Sex, Size & Colour &

     Your Contact Info.

 

8) Give Copies Of Notices / Flyers To People Related To You. Friends, Neighbours,

     Family, Street Cleaners, Security Guards & Children. Get Them To Help You Take

     Note Of The Animal.

 

9) Put Up An Ad with Animal Welfare Clubs & Ask them To Help Circulate & Keep A

     Lookout.

11) Repeat Search In Your Home, Garden & Near The Vinicity It Was Lost Area In The

       Late Evening & Continuously For The Whole Week. Some pets Maybe Frightened &

       Try To Hide During The Day. Bring A Torchlight To Look Into Dark Corners &

       Drains.Take Your Pet’s Favourite Food & Squeaky Toy Along & Shake It As You Call

       Out Its Name.

 

FOUND YOUR MISSING PET

 

1)  Take Down Notices You Put Up At ( Websites & Places ).

 

2)  Inform The Animal Welfare Clubs You Put Up At To Remove Your Online Ad.

 

3)  Inform SPCA At 6287 5355 To Close The Case.

 

4)  Inform AVA At 1800 476 1600 To Close The Case.

 

5)  Locked Windows, Gates, Fences & Doors At All Times.

 

6)  Tie Cut Wire-Meshes or make customised Narrow Grilles Around Window’s Grills

      & Main Door Gate.

 

7)  Lease Your Dog When Taking Out For Walk. If Your Dog Has Never Runaway

      Doesn’t Mean He Won’t Do It If He Catches Sight Or Sniffs Something Interesting Or

      Exciting. 

 

8)  Ensure Collars & Leashes Are In Good Condition & Fit Correctly. Many Dogs Go

      Missing Because Of Flimsy Or Old Collars And Leashes.

 

9)  Never Let Your Pet Wander Outside Without Supervision.                                     

 

10)  Attached The Dog License To The Collars. Better Chances Of Being Reunited With

        Their Owners.

 

11)  If Your Pet Don’t Have An Identification Tags, Get One & Attached To The Collars.

        Write or Engrave Your Phone No / Address. It Is Inexpensive And Can Be Bought At

        Most Pet Shops.

 

12)  If Your Pet Aren’t Microchipped, Have It Done & Ensure Microchip Is

        Registered With AVA & SPCA.

13)  Sterilise Your Pet. Sterilised Animals Are Less Likely To Wander. They Are

        Healthier, Happier & Won’t Add To The Exploding Number Of Being

        Unwanted Animals In Singapore.

1)  If It Is A Dog With A License Tag, Inform The AVA :1800 4761600 To Locate The

      Owner.

 

2)  Call The Straits Times At 1800 2899988 To Place An Ad ( Free ) In The `FOUND’

      Column.

 

3)  Confirm If The Animal Has Been Microchiped, Go To Nearest Vet Clinic or SPCA

      During Office Hours.

 

4)  If The Animal Has Been Microchiped, Report The Found AnimalTo The Agency It

      Was Microchipped. So That The Agency Can Inform The Owner.

     Clinics If Anyone Has Reported Their Lost Pet & Leave Your Contact with Them To

     Contact You.

 

6)  Check With The Residents If Know Who The Dog Owner At The Vinicity Where The

      Dog Was Found.

 

7)  If you choose to Let The SPCA Help To Take Care Of The Matter, You Have To

     Surrender The Animal To Them. Once Surrendered, you Can’t Take It Back. They

     Will Put An Found Ad In The ‘Found’ Of The Straits Times For 2 Days. If The Animal

     Is Not Claimed By The 4th Day, It Will Be Put Up For Adoption Or Euthanised.

     Depends If Space Available.
